In his last year of college, Joe Buck was given the opportunity to design the 2nd album cover for one of Hip Hop's major pioneering groups, De La Soul, entitled "De La Soul is Dead". At that time in his life, he wasn't considering art as a career choice, even though Joe had been an artist all his life. The starving artist syndrome didn't seem very appealing. The outcome of the cover was far more then he expected, and that one project lead to many others, like creating logos and illustrations for the music industry companies like Tommy Boy Records, Sony Records, DJ Enuff/Heavy Hitters, Capitol Records, Rhino Records, Cornerstone Promotions, School Productions (Japan), Recording School (Japan), VH1. His reputation as a great visual artist continued to grow and resulted a large demand for graphic design skills from a wide range of brands like Fubu, Live Mechanics, Triple5Soul, Ecko Red, Michael Jordan's Restaurant, George Clinton, Mac User Magazine (UK), King Magazine, Stuff Magazine, The Fader Stuff Magazine, to name a few.
He now has a design company, ArtilleryDS, which allows him to harness all his experiences to move into bigger and better opportunities. One such opportunity was illustrating two of the first hip hop children's books for Scholastic Books / Hip Kid Hop. "I will say that my ability to be an artist, businessman, visionary, and a dreamer is what makes me who I am. I use my ability to illustrate and design to help visualize as well as bring my dreams to life. Most of all "Always be different."
Influences
Life. Creation.

My mind plays like a jam-packed 40gig iPod on loop.
Artist Since
Forever, and then some.
Goal
My goal is to ride out this innate urge to constantly create until it subsides or I die, which ever comes first.
